Boudoir photography is one of my favourite things to do aside from weddings & this shoot is definitely a creative turning point for me. Shot both on film & digital I had to think outside of the box in very harsh light & extremely hot weather (it was one of the hottest days of the year). The harsh light & the hot conditions definitely made me push myself creatively & instead of soft sunlight we had harsh, directional sunlight.
With an amazing team of creatives, we set out & picked some amazing items for Hannah to wear at Alexandra Anne with Ally’s bridal expertise. We settled on one Pronovias piece (the gorgeous skirt in the woods) & the rest were from their Charlie Brear collection.
Jenni from Make Up By Jenni & Laura from L.H Professional Hair used their amazing skills to create a stunning, soft boudoir look for Hannah. Lauretta from Paeony Floral Design created some amazing, bespoke pieces for this boudoir photo shoot.
We found some beautiful spots to do the photographs – we adventured until we found the look we were after & we found some real gems!
What I really love about boudoir photography is the details. I love that each little detail photographed separately can tell a whole story.
